The Alliance of Colonial Era Tribes (ACET) is an intertribal league of sovereign American Indian Nations continuing from the colonial era of the eastern and southern seaboard of the continental United States.

ACET Member Nations share a common history of colonial and federal governmental contact, including:

  • Colonial Treaties

  • Colonial Era Reservations or Designated “Indian towns”

  • Enrollment in Federal Indian Schools or closely associated Indian Mission Boarding Schools

  • Listing as Tribal Communities in Federal Records, Reports, or Studies prior to 1960
